What Tiny Jaunt is

A private list of outings for your household: the ideas, a day for each, and the week. It is free to use, and no money passes through it.

Your account and household

• You sign in with your email address. We send a code and you type it in.
• Every account comes with a household. Anyone you invite sees the same ideas and the same plan, can change them, and can invite others, so invite people you trust.
• Keep your sign-in codes and the token your iPhone app, Shortcut or extension uses to yourself. Anyone with the token can add to your household.

What you save

• A link, photo or look-up you add is read by Anthropic’s Claude to fill in the idea, after you say OK to that once. Saying Not now sends nothing. What is sent, and what isn’t, is on the privacy page. A program reading a page or a photo can get things wrong, so check what it filled in.
• The ideas, plans and notes you add are yours and your household’s. You let Tiny Jaunt store them and show them to your household, which is what the app is for. They are not sold, shown to advertisers or used to train a model.
• Kiran Smith can also copy the details of a place you save into the library every household sees. That is its name, where it is, when it runs and what its page says about it. Never your notes, your plan or who saved it. If you would rather one of yours stayed out, email and it will.
• Only save, type in or share what you have the right to.

Check before you go

What Tiny Jaunt shows about a class, event or place comes from the provider’s or venue’s own pages and feeds, read by a program, or from what the provider has published here. It can be out of date or wrong: a time moves, a price goes up, a session stops running. Travel times and forecasts are estimates. Check with the provider before you set off, and always before you pay for anything.

Some swimming and activity sessions come from councils’ OpenActive open data, including Southwark Council’s (Move Southwark) and GLL’s (Better), used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence.

The provider runs the session

A class, event or venue is run by its provider, not by Tiny Jaunt. The provider is responsible for it: its safety, safeguarding, the venue and how it runs. If you book or pay, you do that with the provider, on their terms.

Free tickets

• Some free sessions offer a Tiny Jaunt ticket. A ticket holds a place for you. It is not a guarantee of entry: a session can be cancelled, moved or full on the day, and the organiser decides who comes in.
• If the organiser hasn’t joined Tiny Jaunt yet, the ticket says so before you take it. If a session is cancelled and we hear about it, we email you.
• Taking the outing off your day cancels its ticket. Please do that if you can’t go, so the place goes to someone else.

Sharing an outing

When you share an outing, anyone with the link can open it, and they can pass it on. It shows the outing and, if you chose to include it, the day you’re going. Never your notes, your plan or your household. The link keeps working until your household is deleted, and there is no way to switch one off in the app; if you need one taken down, email.

Connecting an assistant

Connecting Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant is your choice. Tiny Jaunt answers what it asks within what you allowed. What the assistant does with those answers, where it runs and what it keeps is up to the company that makes it and your agreement with them. An assistant can get things wrong, including what Tiny Jaunt told it. If you ask it to take a free ticket, it takes one in your name, the same as taking it in the app. You can disconnect it in Settings at any time. The help page says what it can and can’t see.

Using it fairly

Don’t use Tiny Jaunt to:

• break the law, or harass or harm anyone;
• get into an account or household that isn’t yours, or get round how the app limits access;
• copy the library or the listings in bulk, whether by scraping, a script or an assistant told to do it;
• save, upload or share content you have no right to, or that is abusive or misleading;
• take free tickets you don’t mean to use;
• overload or disrupt the service.

Tiny Jaunt can suspend or close an account that does, and will say why.

Leaving

You can stop using Tiny Jaunt at any time. Leaving a household in Settings removes your access to it at once. To delete your account and what is stored about you, email kiran@tinyjaunt.co.uk; there is no button for it, and it is done by hand within one month. The privacy page says what that covers.

Changes and the small print

• If these terms change in a way that matters, you’ll be told by email at least 30 days before. Small fixes to wording are made here and dated.
• Tiny Jaunt is free and offered as it is. As far as the law allows, it isn’t liable for loss caused by wrong information, a cancelled or full session, or the app being unavailable, or for any indirect loss. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow to be limited, and nothing here takes away your rights as a consumer.
• The law of England and Wales applies, and its courts decide any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also go to your own courts.
